Help Your Field Hockey Player Stop Losing the Game Twice
FLUSH IT is a mental reset journal for field hockey players who are tired of one bad play deciding how the rest of the game goes.
Players are told to shake it off. Nobody tells them how. So the turnover follows them into the next play, and the game follows them into other games. FLUSH IT gives them practical tools to reset in 10 minutes after a mistake, because confidence is a skill they can rebuild at every level they reach.
Robyn Kenney played six years on the U.S. National Field Hockey Team and won silver at the Pan American Games. After learning firsthand that working harder wasn’t enough, she became a Mental Performance Coach to help field hockey players develop the mental skills she wishes she had learned sooner.

WHAT PLAYERS, COACHES AND PARENTS SAY

I am a D1 field hockey player, and I really struggle mentally after I make a mistake. Dwelling on these mistakes has a huge impact on my ability to play and perform well on the field. I read this book, and it really helped me to find practical tools I can use in the moment to shift my mindset. My favorite part was learning how to create a pre-game routine to guide me into a flow state. These were all quick skills I can do right in my locker room to get ready! I have already seen a direct improvement in my field hockey performance after reading this book!
- Celia Nocivelli Boston University

I’ve coached field hockey for 25 years and I think Flush it is a great resource for field hockey players who are struggling with confidence. I really love the personal, relatable stories in the book about a U.S. National team player, who is now a mental performance coach. I love journaling myself and this book gives you helpful prompts to guide you from feeling negative to more in control and motivated to keep trying to get better.
- Greta, Keen College Field Hockey Coach

I received so many texts last night about how very, very helpful your workshop was and I think it really
hit a nerve to an extent that I was not even aware of folks questioning or self-doubting. I will send your
material out today to the entire club.
Really looking forward to the visualization!
- Jenny Everett Husel Field Hockey Coach

Just knowing that I could get through something so dark and overcome it in that way, it was a very pivotal moment in my career.
- Cameron Foster Gymnast

It’s been really helpful for her to deal with pre-race anxiety. She’s using the tools to calm herself and stay present. Even when she’s nervous, she knows she can still run a good race.”
- Stacy | Parent of HS Junior 500 meter Regional Champion

Overall we've seen a lot of improvement. His head is in the right place, he's more engaged on the field, and he handles challenges with a better mindset."
- Matt | Parent of Lacrosse Player
