Robyn Kenney, MA
Owner and Lead Instructor
Robyn Kenney is the Owner and Lead Instructor of Mindfulness Athletics. She works with teams and individuals to maximize potential using a system that enhances focus, builds confidence and resilient mindsets.
Coach Robyn is an ICF Credential Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Robyn has 20 years of experience coaching collegiate field hockey and lacrosse at Division III and Division I schools as well as the high school level. She currently coaches the Wheaton High School Varsity Field Hockey Team and Beyond Sticks in Maryland.
International Athlete Robyn played on the US National Field Hockey Team for six years in tournaments around the world. She was on the Silver Medal Pan American Team in 2003. Her 37 international appearances also include the Champion's Challenge and World Cup Qualifier. A Boston University graduate, Robyn was inducted in BU's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017. She earned All-American Honors her junior and senior year and led her team to the NCAA Tournament. A lifetime athlete, Robyn plays soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, softball and basketball.
Mindfulness practitioner Robyn has been practicing yoga and meditation for the past 15 years. In 2016, she received her mindfulness instructor certification from The Center of Koru Mindfulness. She leads Koru Mindfulness group training for athletes, athletic coaches and in corporate settings.

Dr. Michael De Young, PhD
Ph.D. in Psychology; Sports Psychology Consultant
Dr. De Young has over 30 years’ experience as a Licensed Clinical and Educational Psychologist. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the United States International University, San Diego, California in 1982 and has worked with hundreds of students and parents at county and district schools in California in multiple capacities.
A Lifetime Member of United States Judo Association, Dr. De Young started training in Judo in the late 1960's and attained 1st Degree Black Belt Rank. He was a head instructor of a Judo club, teaching young athletes and adults in the mental and physical techniques of Judo.
